4th Place Ribbon? WTF

I can't understand how our country became so densely packed w sissies,weaklings,pussies etc... What the fuck is the obsession w "every kid gets a trophy" mentality? The whole purpose of competition is to teach kids that winning in life feels awesome, and how to accept defeat with respect,dignity and class. What the fuck do kids learn by knowing that regardless of how hard they try or how much they succeed they will still get the same reward as people that put in more effort or had more talent. When everyone is a "winner" then nobody is. People sit and wonder why the U.S. gets our ass kicked in education, financial responsibility and work ethic. Oh, and don't forget that the whole world laughs at us for being a bunch of lazy obese wads of chewed gum. QUIT TELLING YOUR KIDS THAT EVERYTHING THEY DO IS GREAT! That isn't saying you should be mean or with hold love from them, but if they didn't do a great job tell them to do better next time(be positive)...if they didn't try their hardest, tell them to try harder. We should be cultivating a positive competitive attitude in our kids. Maybe then they won't crumble every time they hit some adversity in life...which only happens roughly EVERYDAY! Maybe then they won't fold every time someone picks on them. Maybe then we can get our country back to a proper level of respect. So ask yourself..."Am I part of the problem or the solution?". 4th place ribbons...really. give me a fucking break
