Best Paleo Dinning Ever-Foga de Chao
So we went to one of our favorite dinning establishments this weekend while visiting Indianapolis. We love Foga de Chao...Brazilian steakhouse. They have a vegetable bar with gorgeous fresh veg mostly void of sauces. Endless smoked salmon, prosciutto, salami, etc.. Then there are the gauchos or guys running around w/ various fire roasted meats on swords. Your place setting at the table includes a "chip" w/ a green side and a red side. If your "chip" is green side up every gaucho will swing by and ask if you would like some of that type of meat. Lamb chop, fillet, roasted chicken, garlic beef, spicy lamb sausage, crispy pork rib, bacon wrapped chicken, strip, leg of lamb, bacon wrapped beef medallions...just to name a few! There are also a constant supply of sides including roasted palntains! The seasoning of the meats is simple at most, but the fire roasted flavors are just amazing. It is an experience to say the very least and wonderful when you don't have to make do or figure out how to manipulate the menu in order to eat paleo. This caveman gives it 2 thumbs up!
